私は東京都墨田区で育ちました。
父は衣料関係の小さな町工場を経営し、4人の娘たちを育ててくれました。
毎晩、仕事の終わりに、このそろばんを使って、その日の売り上げを計算していたのを思い出します。また、姉の邦子が高校生になってからは、このそろばんを使って、父の手伝いをしていたのを、懐かしく思い出します。
My Father's SOROBAN
I was born in Sumida-ku, Tokyo.
My father had owned a small business there, and raised his four daughters.
I recollect him reckoning the day's business every night using this SOROBAN.
It is also very cherished memory that my sister Kuniko in her high school days, very often was helping him accounting by using this SOROBAN.
